Taylor Pendrith came painfully close to turning a strong week into a win. But Steven Fisk defeated him on the third playoff hole at the ISCO Championship to secure his second career PGA Tour title.

It wasn't the finish Pendrith wanted, but the Canadian golfer was candid afterward about where the tournament actually got away from him.

“Obviously I wasn't in great position on the last hole,” Pendrith said after his round, per Sportsnet. “Needed a nice decent shot, so I knew I needed to make par for sure. Just kind of missed my spot on the chip shot.”

Pendrith had a chance to win it early in the playoff. On the first extra hole, he hit a 9-iron to about nine feet from the hole. But his putt raced four feet past the hole. He made the comebacker to stay alive, and Fisk matched him with a par.

On the second playoff hole, both players had to scramble and were satisfied with a par finish, forcing a third playoff. The deciding moment occurred on the third playoff hole, where Pendrith drove into a bunker. He came up well short with his pitch shot and missed a 10-foot par putt.

“I thought I hit a pretty good putt (on the first playoff hole) obviously a little bit too firm. I've been struggling a lot with the putter this year. Couldn't really feel my hands at all on both of those putts. Second putt was a good one. Another good four-footer on the second hole,” Pendrith added during the same interview, per Sportsnet.

Pendrith has spent much of 2026 looking for a spark. This week gave him one.

He entered the week ranked near the bottom of the PGA Tour in strokes gained: putting(120th), but flipped that story completely at Hurstbourne. He ranked inside the top 15 in that category for the week while his ball-striking carried him all four days.

“I really haven't had a great year results wise,” Pendrith admitted.

Before Sunday, Pendrith had managed just one top-10 finish all year — a tie for sixth in the season-opening Sony Open in Hawaii.

“Felt like I've been doing some good stuff the last couple months and felt like most parts of my game have been pretty strong, just haven't got the results. It's been quite frustrating, but this week is a really good sign," he added.
