After addressing hecklers at the 2025 Ryder Cup and untimely whistlers at The Open Championship, Jon Rahm took note of how he reacted.

During his recent appearance with Drew Stoltz and Colt Knost on GOLF’s Subpar podcast, the conversation began when Stoltz asked him to assess his on-course “spice.” But that led Knost to recall another instance. This one involved Rahm ripping a bill off a hat.

Both hosts were amazed by his strength. However, Rahm was humble in his admission.

“Again, there’s things I wish I didn’t do, sometimes. It’s definitely been better on the golf course. The trick is not letting it affect the rest of the round, right? There’s been times where I’ve compounded mistakes."

One of Rahm's most notable recent outbursts occurred at the 2025 Open Championship. The two-time major champion was in a tense moment on a par-4 on the 11th tee. Unfortunately, while he was swinging, a fan interrupted him with a whistle, leading him to hit a bogey. He didn't let it affect him for too long, following up with a birdie.

"I’ve gotten better," he said on GOLF's Subpar podcast. "I’m not gonna say I’m an expert at having maybe little short burst and letting it go and moving on, which I’ve always, I’ve been pretty good at that. But trying to get better at that.”

And Jon Rahm has already worked on it

Following his stance at the 2017 U.S. Open (missed cut), Rahm has been spotted expressing his frustration by kicking and throwing his clubs, and lashing back at noisy fans. But now, he's trying to bring it all under control with the help of a mental health coach, Joseba del Carmen.

About five months back, in a video released by Rolex on YouTube, Jon Rahm said, “Controlling your emotions, knowing what to focus on, knowing how to deal with the adrenaline and the heart rate and the tension, the mind is probably the factor that can make the biggest difference... My mental coach got me to start writing what’s going on, what I feel, what I need to do better, or what I wish I was doing.”
