Scottie Scheffler has proven time and time again why he’s at the top of the OWGR leaderboard. Now, as if that wasn't proof enough, he's adding one more game to that list.

At the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, he was 13 shots behind at T62 after the first round. But later on the fourth day, he tied for the lead. 

Unfortunately, the win didn’t go to the world number one. Collin Morikawa finished 22 under for his seventh PGA Tour win. And Scheffler was left at T4 at 20 under after a closing 63. However, Scheffler’s start in the fourth round was simply relentless. 

He made two eagles, two birdies, and two pars in the first six holes at Pebble Beach. Yet, he lost to Morikawa by two shots. And the blame is on his 10-shot deficit on Thursday after he shot an even-par. 

At the WM Phoenix Open, he showcased a similar trend. The first round at Scottsdale, Arizona, ended with Scheffler at T89th position. But his relentless efforts pushed him towards a 3rd finish by the final round. 

And the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am marked the 29-year-old’s 18th straight top-10 finish. It’s indeed the longest top-10 streak on the PGA Tour in more than six decades.

Scottie Scheffler Gets Honest About His Performance at Pebble Beach

Scheffler was undoubtedly frustrated in the first couple of rounds as he failed on the greens. But he was quick to recover on the weekends and put himself in the top five on the leaderboard. And he seemed pretty proud of himself for that. 

However, Scottie Scheffler seemed to have a peculiar view of the game. 

“Sometimes, like things go your way, and sometimes things don't,” Scheffler said after the event. "Like today's the day where I holed a lot of putts from 10, 20 feet."

"On greens like this, there's a lot of suspense when the ball's rolling up to the hole. The beginning of the week, those putts weren't falling, and they all decided to go in today, so it's just a funny game.”

Scheffler has already secured a win this year (the 2026 American Express). And if he continues to showcase similar performance in the future, we might witness a few more wins in the upcoming events.
